About Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis

Who we are

We are a Florida professional association dedicated to the clinical application of hypnosis by licensed physicians, dentists, psychologists, podiatrists, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, mental health counselors, chiropractors and nurses, who qualify for training and membership.

What we do

FSCH is an awarded component chapter of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH). We offer training workshops in both Basic Hypnosis and Advanced Hypnosis, designed to fulfill licensing requirements and to provide professional growth and knowledge for workshop participants. We are fortunate to have master clinicians in our organization to provide much of this training, and often have nationally recognized practitioners as well.

Hypnosis Defined

As defined on the ASCH website under the Public tab, hypnosis is: “A state of consciousness involving focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness characterized by an enhanced capacity for response to suggestion.”

FSCH's Philosopy

We believe clinicians should practice the relaxation we teach our clients as part of their own life care. For that reason, our workshops are usually held in relaxing Florida resort locations so that our participants and their families can build vacations around them. The combination of extensive learning, collegiality, and family enjoyment contributes to the warmth and meaning many of our members experience from our Society.

Membership

Membership in FSCH is open to: Physicians, dentists, chiropractors, podiatrists and psychologists who have doctorates and are licensed in the state in which they practice. There are varying levels of membership.

Workshops

FSCH offers a range of Workshops on Hypnosis. Our Workshops are comprehensive and the combination of extensive learning, collegiality, and family enjoyment contributes to the warmth and meaning many of our members experience from our Society.
