This is YOUR page -- a place for you to share your news, your learnings, your new ventures, things you want your FSCH friends to know. Since it's a public website, be a bit selective, but use it to let us all know when you have a new office or program offering, a new book, or an important transition in your life. Let us celebrate or sympathize, react or resonate with you. Use the contact information at the left to let us know what you'd like to share.

Basic Hypnosis Workshop Held in Miami in April; another one coming up at UCF soon!
Your organization was invited by graduate students at Carlos Albizu University to present a complete Basic Workshop, which was given on April 4 and 5, 2009, to a large, enthusiastic group. The presenters were Susan Becker, Ph.D., one of our own Basic teachers, and Joe Zastrow, MD, an ASCH member from Charlotte, NC. They're the first ones to have tried out the new ASCH-mandated format, and put together lots of wonderful material. Joe has developed a webpage that he used as a "chalkboard," available to all our members, with scripts, powerpoint materials, and so on, so that we didn't have to print a complete workbook this time. If you're interested, go to www.familypracticehypnosis.info/miami to see it.
Our plan for training some of our members to present this workshop is beginning to really pay off! Two of our other members, Sarah Arnett and Tim Fortney are planning to give the Basic Workshop to students at the Univereity of Central Florida within the next month, so they'll be ready to take our May Advanced workshop.
As other schools call on us, we want to be prepared to bring them a "Basic workshop to go." It's becoming more and more obvious that therapists and medical personnel really NEED to learn hypnosis for their practices, and expecially to emphasize its role in promoting wellness. This is an exciting expansion of your society!!
